Barangay Sta. Lucia is one of the 27 (No.) barangays under the City/Municipal Government of Asturias, a 3rd (Class) city/municipality under the Province of Cebu.
According to our forefathers, the first people who settle in the barangay is called Tenyente del Barrio, They came from Spanish Words. The barangay was first named Sta. Lucia meaning from the name of our Saint. Presently, the barangay is named Sta. Lucia.
Based on the 2018 Commission on Election (COMELEC) records, the barangay has 2,521 (No.) of registered voters; 1,272 are males and 1,249 are females. It has 20 (No.) of Precincts).
