In observance of the 34th National Family Week and “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day, please be informed that work in government offices and public schools, will be suspended beginning at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026.
For public schools, class schedules and school activities shall follow the appropriate DepEd advisories and arrangements to ensure learning continuity. Work and class arrangements in private establishments and private schools shall be left to the discretion of their respective management and school authorities.
The observance encourages Filipino families to spend meaningful time together and highlights the importance of sharing meals as a way of strengthening family bonds.
However, offices and personnel involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster and calamity preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue to operate and render the necessary services.
Regular government operations shall resume on the next working day, September 29.
