Another Poultry Farm Ordered “No Chick-In” as Anti-Fly Campaign Continues
Another poultry farm in Asturias has been subject to a temporary “no chick-in” order by the local government after subsequent inspections conducted by the Task Force Fly Inspection Team.
This is the third poultry farm in the town affected by the same directive as part of the Local Government Unit (LGU)’s ongoing campaign against complaints related to fly proliferation and other issues affecting public health and the environment.
Based on the official document released by the Office of the Municipal Mayor, the facility is subject to a temporary suspension of the introduction of new chicks within a grow cycle to allow the operator time to conduct required cleaning, disinfection, and implementation of recommendations.
The record also shows that previous inspections, follow-up monitoring, technical discussions, and public hearings were conducted to address issues related to the operation of the facility. According to the LGU, this step is part of the process to ensure that sanitation and health protection requirements are met.
Such directive is not permanent and can be lifted after it is proven through inspection and verification that all required recommendations and corrective measures have been complied with.
Mayor Dongkoy Dumdum continues to strengthen the monitoring of poultry and livestock facilities within the town to ensure compliance with regulations that protect public health and the environment.
