Barangay POBLACION is one of the 27 barangays under the City/Municipal Government of Asturias, a 3rd (Class) Municipality of Asturias under the Province of Cebu.
According to our forefathers, the first people who settle in the barangay is called Asturiasnon. They came from Spanish Word. The barangay was first named Poblacion meaning center of the Municipality. Presently, the barangay is named POBLACION.
Based on the 2023 Commission on Election (COMELEC) records, the barangay has a number 4,788 of registered voters. It has 13 precincts.
