The Local Government Unit of Asturias joins the entire Province of Cebu in commemorating Osmeña Day, in honor of the birth anniversary of Sergio Osmeña Sr., the fourth President of the Republic of the Philippines and one of Cebu’s most distinguished statesmen.

September 9 is observed as a Special Non-Working Public Holiday in the Province of Cebu, its component cities, and the City of Cebu, pursuant to Republic Act No. 6953.

As we remember President Osmeña’s life and legacy, may his example of statesmanship, integrity, and dedication to public service continue to inspire Cebuanos and future generations.
