Mayor Dana Andrew “Dongkoy” Dumdum led the emergency meeting of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) attended by the LDRRMO, Vice Mayor Reine Yaras, SB Members, barangay captain, PNP, BFP, Coastguard and department heads, in preparation for the arrival of Typhoon Tino, after submerging the storm. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2.
During the meeting, Mayor Dumdum instructed all agencies and departments of the municipality to ensure evacuation centers are ready, prepare safety equipment, and inform all barangays immediately about the latest weather update. MDRRMC also agreed on preemptive evacuation for residents living near rivers and beaches to avoid disaster.
Mayor Dumdum reminds everyone to stay prepared, vigilant, and prioritize safety as hurricane movement continues.
