LGU ASTURIAS CELEBRATES EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY 2026 | Photo Highlights Part 2/2

Work hard, serve well, and once in a while, dance, cheer, play, and celebrate together!

The Local Government Unit of Asturias held its Employee Appreciation Day on September 26, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, bringing LGU employees together for a full day of camaraderie, wellness, friendly competition, and good old-fashioned fun.

The celebration kicked off early in the morning with a parade, followed by an energetic Zumba session that set the mood for the day.

For the different activities and competitions, LGU employees were divided into four groups: Team Sikap, Team Tatag, Team Liyab, and Team Tibay. Each team brought its own energy, creativity, and team spirit throughout the celebration.

The four teams competed in the colorful and lively Muse and Escort Competition, Cheerdance Competition, and TikTok Dance Challenge, while employees also enjoyed various Laro ng Lahi, filling the venue with cheers, laughter, and friendly rivalry. It was a day that showed that Asturiasnon public servants can be just as energetic on the dance floor and playing field as they are in serving the public.

The fun continued into the afternoon as employees took to the court for the much-awaited Giant Volleyball Game and Pickleball Tournament, capping the celebration with teamwork, sportsmanship, and plenty of memorable moments.

The activity was led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Dana Andrew M. Dumdum and spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) through Mr. Christian Jake T. Laspiñas.

More than the games and competitions, the Employee Appreciation Day served as a meaningful opportunity to recognize the dedication of LGU Asturias personnel and strengthen the spirit of unity and camaraderie among those who work together in delivering public service to the people of Asturias.

Because behind every program, service, and accomplishment of the LGU are employees who continue to show up, work together, and serve with commitment.
