LGU ASTURIAS CAPS OFF 3-DAY FY 2027 BUDGET HEARING

The Local Government Unit of Asturias, Cebu concluded its three-day Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Hearing held from September 9 to 11, 2026, bringing together department, office, and section heads, representatives of national government agencies, and local elected officials to review and deliberate on proposed programs, projects, activities, and corresponding budgetary requirements for the coming fiscal year.
The proceedings were attended by Municipal Mayor Hon. Dana Andrew M. Dumdum, Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Reine P. Yaras, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and officials and personnel representing the different implementing offices and agencies concerned.
In his message to the participants, Mayor Dumdum emphasized the importance of sound fiscal management, responsible budgeting, and the proper utilization of public funds, noting that LGU department heads and partner national government agencies serve as key implementers of the Municipality’s programs, projects, and activities.
He underscored that every allocation must be carefully planned and properly utilized to ensure that government resources translate into concrete, responsive, and meaningful services for the people of Asturias.
The three-day budget hearing was spearheaded by the Local Finance Committee, headed by Municipal Budget Officer Ms. Novah Theresse P. Yanong, as part of the Municipality’s budget preparation process for Fiscal Year 2027.
