Please be informed that Monday, August 31, 2026, is a REGULAR HOLIDAY nationwide in observance of National Heroes Day (Araw ng mga Bayani).

The holiday is pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025, declaring the regular holidays and special non-working days for 2026, and consistent with Republic Act No. 9492, which provides for the observance of National Heroes Day on the last Monday of August.

With August 31 falling on a Monday, the observance creates a three-day long weekend from Saturday, August 29, to Monday, August 31, 2026.

Regular government office transactions will resume on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The public is advised to plan their transactions and other activities accordingly.
