DID YOU KNOW?

The Department of Education has issued DepEd Order No. 14,  S. 2026, or the Guidelines on Learning Continuity in Emergencies, to guide schools in continuing education before, during, and after disasters, calamities, health threats, and other emergencies. The policy recognizes that learning must continue whenever possible, but the safety, well-being, and readiness of learners and school personnel must always come first.

𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐍 (𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚):

𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐎 – 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞

No TCWS signal means regular face-to-face classes continue. Everyone is encouraged to always stay safe.

𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐘 – 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐈𝐧

TCWS Signal No. 1 means no classes for kindergarten. TCWS Signal No. 2 means no classes for Kindergarten up until Grade 10.

𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐀 – 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐈𝐧

TCWS Signal No. 3 means no classes for ALL LEVELS (kindergarten up until SHS, ALS, including work in school).

𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 – 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩

TCWS Signals No. 4 to 5 mean total academic freeze; no in-person classes, no online classes, and no modules for ALL LEVELS.

𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 (𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬):

No automatic suspension; the Mayor or the school principal decides if it is safe to conduct in-person classes in your area.

The appropriate level will depend on the actual situation, safety risks, available resources, and the physical and emotional readiness of the school community.

We encourage parents, guardians, learners, and school personnel to stay informed and continue monitoring official announcements from DepEd, their respective schools, and the Local Government Unit of Asturias.
