Cebu is set to welcome the Madre Peregrina de Mexico, the official pilgrim image of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico, for a historic visit to the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu from September 4 to 6, 2026.

The three-day religious event marks a significant moment of faith and devotion for the Catholic faithful in Cebu and neighboring provinces. Venerated as the Patroness of the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe continues to inspire millions of devotees throughout the world through her enduring message of faith, hope, compassion, and unity.

Thousands of pilgrims and devotees are expected to gather at the shrine to take part in the solemn activities prepared for the visit, including the Solemn Welcoming Rites, Pontifical Mass, novena prayers, and continuous public veneration of the pilgrim image.
