The Municipality of Asturias held its regular Flag Raising Ceremony today, September 7, 2026, led by the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO).

The ceremony was attended by local officials headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Dana Andrew M. Dumdum, together with LGU department and office heads and personnel.

After the flag raising, Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Jade Mesias presented a report on the programs, projects, and initiatives being implemented by the Municipal Agriculture Office, with particular emphasis on measures aimed at helping local farmers prepare for and mitigate the anticipated effects of the El Niño phenomenon on agricultural production and livelihoods.

The ceremony marked the start of another week of dedicated public service, as LGU officials and personnel renewed their commitment to work together and continue delivering responsive and meaningful programs and services for the people of Asturias.
