Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs) from the different cities and municipalities of Cebu Province gathered for the first Alignment Meeting to strengthen youth development work across Cebu.
The session was graced by DILG Cebu Provincial Director Dr. Jesus Robel Sastrillo Jr., who shared updates on relevant laws and circulars for LYDOs—emphasizing that the creation of LYDOs is mandatory under the law.
Also joining was NYC Region 7–8 Area Director Cherry Mae Malate, who gave a refresher on the duties and responsibilities of LYDOs, empowering the officers to fulfill their mandate in guiding the youth sector effectively.
Together, we move toward a more aligned, responsive, and empowered Cebuano youth governance.
