This is what the Department of Tourism 7 promised to help us develop, during the visit of the directors of DOT 7, Regional Director Judy Dela Cruz Gabato and NIA 7, Regional Manager Eusebio Villamanto in my office in Congress. RD Gabato promised to help secure a dive compressor for Asturias, which is now identified as one of the best diving sites in Cebu. You can refill the diving tanks in Asturias and you don’t have to go to Lapu-Lapu City anymore. DOT also pledged to help find support for our arnis federation in Toledo, Toledo Arnis De Abanico to better educate our young martial artists and promote arnis as part of heritage tourism. On the other hand, the irrigation situation in Barangay Gunting, Barili was promised to be checked by the National Irrigation Administration 7. Right now, it’s inevitable to use irrigation water occasionally for household needs. To ensure safe water quality, NIA will coordinate with DOH, LWUA and LGU. For delivering different services from national government agencies, keep it up! – Karen Hope Garcia
