In light of the released “Advisory” or “Pimangno” kunohay from a businessman under the name POWER BAI posted on their social media page on March 30, 2026, regarding the alleged bad power situation, we would like to inform that Cebu III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CEBECO III), that one of those punished by this advisory, no one received any order from DOE, NEA, ERC, or even our power suppliers regarding the implementation of load shedding.
Therefore, as of now, CEBECO III has no plan or implementation of load shedding, and our services continue as normal to avoid inconvenience to our member-consumers. It is also learned that POWER BAI which is showing concern, is selling batteries that can be used during power interruption.
Unfortunately the advisory they released contains the element of manipulation that puts CEBECO III in a bad situation just to promote their business.
The act has caused panic and anxiety among the public, which could have been avoided. This can also be considered a violation of the law against spreading misinformation (fake news) and may be grounds for legal action against responsible individuals.
Therefore, we urge POWER BAI to correct their released information immediately. Failure to do so may lead to adoption of legal process to protect the interest and reputation of CEBECO III and our member-consumers.
As of now, we will explain that CEBECO III power supply is sufficient and stable, and there is no reason for load shedding unless there is a formal announcement from our suppliers.
CEBECO III will continue to provide accurate information if there is a change in services.
