A Bloodletting Activity is conducted today, September 16, 2026, at the Dumdumon Hall, Asturias Municipal Hall, bringing together voluntary blood donors in support of a safe and sufficient blood supply for patients in need.

The activity forms part of the month-long celebration of the 126th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service and was undertaken through the partnership of the Rural Health Unit (RHU), Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), and the Department of Health (DOH).

Qualified donors, including personnel of the Local Government Unit of Asturias, participated in the activity and voluntarily donated blood to help support patients who may require blood transfusions during medical emergencies, surgical procedures, and other critical health situations.

Beyond commemorating the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the activity underscores the value of compassion, volunteerism, and shared responsibility for community health, demonstrating how a simple act of giving can make a life-saving difference.
