Barangay BAGO is one of the 27 barangays under the Municipality of Asturias, a 3rd (class) Municipality under the Province of Cebu. According to our forefathers, the first people who settle in the barangay is called Teneinte Eling Noel. They came from Cebu City. The barangay was first named "Bago" meaning plant Bago sprouted the area of the barangay. Presently, the barangay is name BAGO.
Based on the RBI records of 2023 has the total populations of 2, 079 (1,019 are males and 1, 060 females) in seven puroks.
