LGU Asturias received an award during the Solid Waste Management Summit & Expo 2025 for its Plastic Eco-Bag Making Program that uses plastic to produce bags, which provides jobs and promotes environmental protection.
One of the highlights of the event was the LGU Asturias’ display of the Bb. Asturias winners, made of recycled materials, which proves the wit and creativity of the Asturians.
Mayor Dongkoy Dumdum and MENRO Head Joann Rosario personally accepted the award, in recognition of the municipality’s efforts to be a model of sustainable development and nature stewardship.
