ICYMI, there will be two (2) high pedestrian traffic events that will be happening in Cebu City today (SUNDAY, August 31, 2025) at exactly 12 noon – “Pasundayag sa Pagtuo” & Cebu City SK Federation’s “Sayaw sa Kabataan.” All parades will approximately end by 5:00 in the afternoon.
Both events will have its respective parade routes from Uptown to Downtown Cebu City and vice versa, respectively. With the number of participants, we cannot ensure a consistent flow of vehicular traffic in the parade routes. As such, we are encouraging all motorists to avoid the following national roads & city streets to prevent congestions and travel delays:
1. whole stretch of Osmeña Blvd (from Provincial Capitol to Plaza Independencia);
2. whole stretch of M. Velez St. (from corner V. Rama Ave. (Jollibee-Guadalupe) to corner M. Cui St. (Provincial Capitol))
3. V. Rama Ave. (from corner M. Velez St. (Jollibee-Guadalupe) to corner P. Abella St. junction (Happy Valley));
4. Fuente Circle;
5. Gen. Maxilom Ave.(from corner Fuente Circle to corner Imus Ave. intersection);
6. MJ Cuenco Ave. (from corner MJ Cuenco Extn junction to corner Legazpi Extn. junction);
7. whole stretch of A. Pigafetta St. (inside Plaza Independencia grounds & beside National Museum);
8. Sen. MC Briones St. (from corner MJ Cuenco Ave. intersection to corner Gov. Jakosalem St. intersection);
9. Gov. Jakosalem St. (from corner Sen. MC Briones St. intersection to corner Osmeña Blvd intersection);
10. RR Landon St. (from corner Osmeña Blvd intersection to corner Cebu City Sports Center entrance);
11. Northbound lanes of CSCR (SRP) from SRP Tunnel descend entrance until corner Sen. MC Briones St. intersection – National Museum);
12. ML Legazpi St. (from corner Lapulapu St. intersection to corner MJ Cuenco Ave. junction);
13. F. Urdaneta St. (from corner Lapulapu St. intersection to corner MJ Cuenco Ave. junction);
14. A. Jereza St. (from corner Lapulapu St. intersection to corner MJ Cuenco Ave. junction); and
15. V. Gullas St. (from corner Lapulapu St. intersection to corner MJ Cuenco Ave. junction);
Special Diversion Route: All Motorists heading northbound of the CSCR (SRP) are diverted to the SRP Tunnel and take the S. Osmeña Ave. exit (CTU) to City Center & Mandaue.
