Asturias prioritizes health and safety with suspension of face-to-face classes.
In response to the concerning rise in heat index, Mayor Dongkoy Dumdum, alongside representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd), announced the suspension of face-to-face classes in all public schools within Asturias.
This decision, made in consultation with Dr. Maria Lourdes G. Ybanez (PSDS Asturias I), Dr. Arlene Buot (PSDS Asturias II), and Sta. Lucia School Head Eliseo Leones, prioritizes the well-being of students and teachers during this period of extreme heat.
The suspension begins at 1:00 PM today and will continue until Friday, April 12, 2024.
