As part of the Municipality of Asturias’ continuing efforts to strengthen environmental monitoring and promote a healthier and safer community, equipment for Ambient Air Quality Monitoring and Noise Level Monitoring has been installed in selected areas of the municipality.

The monitoring equipments are placed in two locations in the municipality, one in Naghalin Plaza, Barangay Poblacion, and the other in Sta. Lucia National High School, Barangay Sta. Lucia, where it will continuously conduct 24-hour daily monitoring of ambient air quality and prevailing noise levels.

Through continuous monitoring, the equipment will help generate environmental data that can be used in assessing existing conditions, identifying trends, and supporting appropriate programs, interventions, and policies related to environmental protection and public health.

The initiative forms part of the municipality’s commitment to responsible environmental management and to ensuring that local development remains responsive to the health, safety, and well-being of Asturiasnons.
