A GRADE 6 PUPIL FROM LOOC NORTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PREPARES AS SHE ADVANCES TO REGIONAL SCHOOL PRESS CONFERENCE

April 2, 2024

Diana Shane P. Tan, a grade 6 pupil from Looc Norte Elementary School, has brought pride to Asturias after bagging second place in the English Editorial Writing competition at the recently concluded Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held in Liloan, Cebu.
Tan’s impressive achievement comes after facing stiff competition from a total of 189 participants across the entire province of Cebu. Her editorial writing skills stood out, demonstrating her ability to analyze current issues and present well-reasoned arguments.
“We are incredibly proud of Diana Shane’s accomplishment,” said Melissa Bondad, Coach and teacher of Looc Norte Elementary School.
10 representatives from Asturias competed in the DSPC. The DSPC is an annual event that gathers promising student journalists from various schools across a division. It serves as a platform for them to showcase their writing, broadcasting, and editorial skills in various categories.
Looc Norte Elementary School is now preparing to support Tan as she advances to regional competition on April 8, 2024 in Talisay City.
