Dr. Michael Jann Alasco (RHU Asturias) warned the public to beware of eating fish after two cases of histamine fish poisoning were recorded in Asturias.
Patients were rushed to the Infirmary Clinic after experiencing symptoms such as swelling, skin redness, and sudden discomfort after eating such fish. Patients are safe after receiving medication and are home after recovery.
It is believed that the cause is histamine that can climb fish when not fresh.
Dr. Alasco encouraged to be careful when eating this fish.
