The Municipality of Asturias, Cebu joins the entire nation in celebrating the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this September 2026, with the theme, “Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.”

This month-long celebration recognizes the dedication, integrity, professionalism, and invaluable contributions of Filipino civil servants who continue to uphold public trust and deliver meaningful service to our communities.

As public servants, we are reminded that government service is more than a profession—it is a commitment to serve with “puso sa serbisyo, dangal sa tungkulin, at galing sa paglilingkod”, always placing the welfare of the people at the heart of everything we do.

The Philippine Civil Service traces its establishment to Act No. 5, September 19, 1900, while Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, s. 1997 declared September of every year as Civil Service Month.
